Best Emulation Lite is purchased only from the Mac App Store and requires Mac OS X version 10.6.6 or later. Here is the direct link in the app store...

If you are using a Mac with an older operating system prior to OS X 10.6.6, you will need to use MacWise instead at www.MacWise.com

When you open the software you will see various headings at the top so refer to those below and all those mentioned should have a checkmark.

Edit - Hide Status window

Dialer - Tone Dialing
Disconnect modem upon quit
Modem Initialization string - should show in box 'AT+MS=V21"

Settings - 300 Baud
8 bit , No Parity
Display mode - Normal , Half Duplex
Serial port - USB modem
Flow Control - Xon/Xoff

Connection - Serial/modem

Emulation - VT100

Capture - New line on receipt of LF
Screen capture sound
Editable screen capture

Window - 16 point font - large window (you can select any window size you wish from the list)
80 Column screen
9 point font for 132 column mode
Screen text wrap

Under File ensure that after you have made the changes, you click 'save settings'

If you need to get a 56K USB Modem, the US Robotics modem works well.
